📏 How scoring works

Per match

Per game: nail the winner, the margin band and the total-points band.

  • Correct winner+3

    Points for calling which team wins the game.

  • Margin band+3

    You call the band your team wins by (0-3, 4-8, 9-16, 17+ points). You need the winner too; every band is worth the same.

  • Total-points band+2

    You call the band both teams add up to (<38, 38-43, 44-49, 50-55, 56+ points).

  • No prediction for a played match-1

    A gentle nudge so you don't forget to play: if a match is played and you hadn't entered a prediction, you lose these points.

Regular-season bets

Locked before the season's first game.

  • Best record in the league+20

    Call the team with the best record in the league (the #1 seed).

  • Division winner+10

    Call the winner of each of the 8 divisions.

  • #1 seed (first-round bye)+18

    Call a conference's #1 seed (the only first-round bye).

  • Conference top-2+14

    Call a team to finish in its conference's top 2.

  • Conference top-4+10

    Call a team to finish in its conference's top 4.

  • Reaches the playoffs+6

    Call a team to reach the playoffs (its conference's top 7).

  • Worst record (#1 draft pick)+6

    Call the team with the worst record (the #1 draft pick).

Locked before the first playoff game.

  • Super Bowl champion+36

    Call the Super Bowl champion.

  • Reaches the Super Bowl+18

    Call a team to reach the Super Bowl.

  • Reaches the conference championship+12

    Call a team to reach its conference championship game.

  • Reaches the divisional round+6

    Call a team to reach the divisional round.
